The Imam Haron Foundation is hosting the Imam Haron Memorial Lecture on Sunday September 27 at 7.30pm to commemorate the killing in detention of the Imam by the apartheid regime.
The Memorial Lecture will take the form of a panel discussion on the virtual platform.
The topic under discussion will be “Corruption: An Obstacle to Social and Transitional Justice”. The participants will be:
- Chris Nissen, South African Human Rights Commissioner
- Konehali Gugushe, CEO of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund
- Nkosinathi Biko, Executive Trustee of the Steve Biko Foundation.
The discussion will be moderated by the editor of Muslim Views, Farid Sayed, and will be followed by a question and answer session.
