Always a keen sportsman since his days at Rhenish Primary School where he played rugby, hockey, cricket and water polo, it is only when he got into high school that he started concentrating on water polo and made that his sport of choice.
He has represented Boland at Under 14,Under 16 and Under 18 level. He also represented Western Province Under 18’s and now has the opportunity to represent South Africa.
‘I am very excited for this opportunity to represent my country and am looking forward to going to Argentina. Representing Boland and now Western Province has given me so much of exposure,’said an elated Salahuddin Khan.
However, to make the trip possible, he has to raise R81 000 as Swimming South Africa does not have a budget to cover the costs for the championships.
The family is therefore seeking the help of sponsors to make this trip possible. They have created a campaign through Go Get Funding. (https://goget.fund/3JrVTZV)
