THE Cape Town Ulama Board, in partnership with Wiselife Academy, Awqaf SA, the Cape Town Islamic Educational Centre (CTIEC) and Ahlus Sunnah Media Network, is hosting a significant event honouring the 1500 Years of the Prophetic Legacy of Nabi Muhammed (SAW).
Designed to assist individuals in living in accordance with the Prophetic way and integrating the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) into their daily lives, the Universal Mercy Symposium aims to offer attendees insights and practical guidance on embodying Prophetic traits such as compassion, humility, justice and sincerity in their interactions.
The Symposium, a free event, is scheduled to take place on Friday April 11, starting at 6:30pm, at the Islamia Auditorium in Lansdowne. Distinguished speakers from South Africa and the United Kingdom will lead discussions on various topics pertaining to the Prophetic legacy and its relevance in contemporary times.
Among the key discussions at the symposium will be ‘Prophetic Mercy in Marital Relations: Insights for Contemporary Relationship Challenges’. This will focus on utilising the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to nurture harmonious relationships within families.
Another noteworthy topic to be explored is ‘Mercy Towards Children: Prophetic Compassion as a Framework for Parenting’, where attendees will learn about parenting strategies rooted in the Prophetic model of care and compassion towards children.
The symposium will also delve into ‘Creating a Community of Mercy: Prophet Muhammad’s Model for Societal Harmony’, underscoring the significance of cultivating a compassionate and cohesive community based on Prophetic principles of unity and cooperation.
Furthermore, attendees will engage in discussions on pressing issues such as ‘Addressing Addiction and Indecency: Prophetic Approaches to Healing and Guidance’, which offers practical strategies for addressing societal challenges in line with Prophetic ideals of support and guidance.
Another critical topic on the agenda is ‘Prophet Muhammad’s Mercy Towards Enemies: A Pathway to Conflict Resolution’, which will explore Prophetic methodologies for conflict resolution and promoting reconciliation with adversaries.
The symposium will also highlight how South Africa has upheld the Prophetic legacy through the awliya, showcasing the significant role individuals play in preserving Prophetic teachings in contemporary society.
