Shaikh al-Mashaikh Hazrat Mufti Mohamed Akbar Hazarvi, a renowned religious leader and teacher of hundreds of scholars worldwide, recently made an impassioned plea to the global ummah during his visit to Cape Town while addressing a meeting at the Cape Town Ulama Board offices on Monday April 7, 2025.
The Mufti urged Muslims to offer sincere prayers for the people of Palestine and Gaza, emphasising the responsibility of world leaders in the ongoing genocide in the region. He stressed the importance of at least making dua (prayer) for those suffering as a result of the genocide by the Zionist state.
Mufti Hazarvi, who holds a prominent position as the Head Mufti and principal of Darul Uloom Pretoria and is revered by many Ulama and muftis from many countries, has been a vocal advocate for peace and justice in the Muslim world over the years.
